W . A . V . E . S : Youtube premiere 2020

They were on a break — but the wait is finally over. Adapted for the screen in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, W . A . V . E . S sees all six original cast members reunited for one last trip down memory lane in our first ever video performance.

W . A . V . E . S explores the politics of friendship through the interlocking thoughts of six friends as they meet for coffee one night, passing back and forth between them to create a portrait of connection in the age of environmental collapse.

A response to the idealised models of friendship advanced by sitcoms and set to an original ambient score from Lewis Clarke and Moss Taylor, W . A . V . E . S is an extended ensemble monologue that gets under the skin of the six friends to chart the precarious bonds that hold them together.
